Media Outreach and Resources
Kentucky Emergency Management's Public Information Officer (PIO) manages public communication and media relations for both emergency and non-emergency activities. The PIO is available to answer media inquiries about ongoing disasters, emergencies, and division programs.
Disaster Declaration in Kentucky
After a catastrophic event, the President may declare a Major Disaster Declaration. A declaration authorizes federal aid and programs for heavily impacted counties and communities. Be sure to monitor news releases and fact sheets detailing assistance options for the declared counties.
