• No more than four hours annually of correspondence or internet courses
• No more than eight hours annually of division-sponsored emergency management training that a local director instructs
• Successfully complete at least 12 total hours of emergency management or administrative training in each full federal fiscal year

Within each full federal fiscal year following appointment a deputy director shall successfully complete 16 hours of training from:

• Basic Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
• Damage assessment
• Hazardous materials awareness

• No more than four hours annually of correspondence or internet courses
• No more than eight hours annually of division-sponsored emergency management training that a local director instructs
• Successfully complete at least 12 total hours of emergency management or administrative training in each full federal fiscal year
