Main Street, Nicholasville, KY 40356</b></p><p align="center"><b>8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST</b></p><p align="center"><b>&nbsp;</b></p><p align="center">&nbsp;</p><p><b>Course Description: </b>To equip participants with the skills needed to be full or part time PIO’s, including oral and written communications; understanding and working with the media; and basic tools and techniques to perform effectively as PIO, both in the proactive / advocacy times and crisis/emergency response. </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><b>Student Criteria: </b>The intended audiences are federal, state, tribal, territorial, local level, business and non-governmental emergency management personnel who may be designed to fill the PIO position temporarily or for anyone seeking a better understanding of the PIO position. IS-29 A: Public Information Awareness is a prerequisites to this class. Please forward certificates to the below email when registration is completed.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><b>Special Notes: </b>Registration<b> </b>will be limited to the first 30 students that apply on the website. Advance student registration is required and must be received by <b>June 1, 2026</b>. You are considered accepted as a student in this class upon receipt of your application.
