Course Description

The primary goal of this course is to provide participants a practical learning experience on the EOC Skillsets associated with resources support tasks. This training will provide individuals in resource roles with a greater understanding of the responsibilities and processes involved in EOC resources, the development of essential documentation, and the continual management of information across multiple agencies and personnel as it relates to effective EOC operations. The learner must achieve a minimum passing score of 75% on final knowledge assessments or demonstrate mastery on performance assessments or research assignments to earn the IACET CEU.

Student Criteria

This course is open to all Emergency Management personnel and partner agency staff who work in, support, or may be assigned to an EOC, including local, tribal, state, territorial, and federal personnel; public safety; public works; public health; human services; and non-governmental/volunteer organizations. The course is appropriate for EOC managers, section/unit leaders, planners, situation unit personnel, and individuals responsible for EOC planning and coordination. Prerequisites include: IS-100, IS-700, and IS-800, IS2200, and G-2300. A copy of the course completion certificates must be provided to the below POC prior to the start of the class. You may email them to the address below.

Special Notes

A Minimum of 20 advance student registrations is required and must be received by June 1, 2026. A Maximum of 30 will be accepted. You are considered accepted as a student in the class upon receipt of your application. Letters of acceptance will not be sent. Meals, lodging, and travel expenses are the responsibility of the student and will NOT be reimbursed by KYEM. The materials for this course will be in digital format. A copy of the digital manual will be emailed to you prior to the start of the class.
