Course Description

This class provides the required information First Responders need to identify and safely operate in incidents involving water and/ or flood rescue.

Student Criteria

This course is open to all Emergency Management, Rescue, Fire, Emergency Medical, and Law Enforcement. . This class is particularly helpful to organizations and/or individuals who are planning to acquire training in water rescue operations. STUDENTS MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER TO ENROLL IN THIS COURSE.

Special Notes

There is a maximum of 25 students. Registration must be completed by May 1, 2026.

Meals, lodging, and travel expenses are the responsibility of the student and will NOT be reimbursed by KYEM. There are no prerequisites. Student must have: Wet or Dry suit, PFD, Helmet, Gloves, Boots or old Tennis Shoes and Under Armor.
