Course Description
In accordance with Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS Chapter 39B) and KYEM policy, all newly appointed County Emergency Management Directors are required to complete a training/orientation program. This session will provide essential guidance on statutory responsibilities, operational procedures, and available resources to ensure effective emergency management at the county level.

Advance student registrations is REQUIRED and must be received by January 2, 2026 in order to conduct this course. You are considered accepted as a student in this class upon receipt of your application by this office so you will not receive a letter acknowledging that acceptance. Meals, lodging, and travel expenses are the responsibility of the student and will NOT be reimbursed by KYEM.
